Yes, rather disturbing indeed.
I commend the idea of a team blog, but you've done it a little oddly, my dear. Rather than sharing the same Blogger identity (joy and becky's rantings), which is confusing, instead you should each have your own Blogger ID. Than you can "invite" Becky to join and contribute to the blog by going to your dashboard and clicking "settings" and then "permissions" and follow the onscreen instructions from there.
